Management Partner

CP Davis began his association with Hunt Private Equity Group in 2006 as an operating partner to work closely with newly acquired Poseidon Enterprises, LLC. He was appointed as a board member and subsequently became President/COO of Poseidon. He also works closely with other Hunt investments including Ginsey Industries and Universal Companies.

Prior to his involvement with Hunt, Davis was a partner at Protostar Partners, a New York-based middle-market leveraged buyout firm dedicated to acquiring portfolios of direct private equity investments. While at Protostar, he served as interim CEO of Evercare, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, a recognized leader in the consumer houseware goods industry.

Davis’ industry experience includes progressive sales, distribution and operations assignments with Frito-Lay, Inc., Pepperidge Farm and Otis Spunkmeyer. He is considered a leading authority on direct-store-delivery (route) operations and performance management systems.

In addition to his consumer goods experience, Davis has worked on various turnaround assignments in a range of industries including specialty textiles and home improvement/durable goods.

Davis is a distinguished military graduate from the Virginia Military Institute and served as a logistics officer in the US Army with assignments and deployments in Central and South America, and Europe.  He earned an MA from The George Washington University and completed advance management studies at Yale School of Management.

He is Six Sigma trained and HACCP certified.
